Why does this way to dispose of (nuclear) waste doesn't work?

it sounds brilliant to me, but maybe it would cost less to cover the whole desert in solar panels, also im not sure how deep you would have to dig to not affect cycles, or to even reach the outer core, and when you say natural radiatio inside the earth, how deep do you mean? because i honestly dont know much about it, but anyways moneys is probably the main issue, if you found a way to do this with reasonable costs then maybe it could work :)
