Whats wrong with my lip piercing?

I got my lip peirced about two months ago and it's been perfectly fine until now. It's not producing puss or crust or anything so it's most likely not infected but on the inside of my lip it seems my skin has formed kind of a lump...it's just like it's a little swollen lump on one side, tastes like an open wound. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't look like my skin will grow over the flat back at all..I just don't know what it is or how to make this swelling go down. It's really important that it heal properly too, as come september due to school I consistantly have to remove my body piercings. Any advice would be awesome, so far my game plan is just to keep cleaning it and hope for the best
