Mouse problems on dell insperon laptop?

on my laptop i have a logitech m505 optical mouse. ive had it since christmas. it works fine except that the left clicking thingy dosnt work. ive had to use the mousepad clicker and its relly annoying! this happand about an hour ago. please help!
