Computer mouse clicker is messing up.?

Im not sure where to begin. This problem is off and on and it occurs about 75% of the time. When i left click on my back ground, it opens up that little menu as if i right clicked, and i already checked the left right click on settings. When im on the internet, its like my mouse is disabled, i cant exit out, or click on anything, i have to wait a long time and just hope it starts working again. I use a Toshiba laptop and am using the computer pad for the mouse, i already tried using a plug in mouse but no help there. Any help with this problem?
